I am really just putting this up here due to being frustrated.

I have been doing everything I can to improve. I have been getting educated, have finished a BS in biology, a BA in philosophy, got a masters in Public Administration, just need my thesis approved for the masters in biology, and have been getting my doctorate in Public Administration (DPA). I work, teaching part time at a university.

Why part time? Because I cannot find full time anywhere around here.

I am a single mom of two kids. The oldest heads off to college August 2014. My youngest has high functioning Autism (formerly known as Asperegers). Public high school did not go well for him last year and so we are now starting an online, at home, high school. I cannot chase jobs down by moving because his only good social thing is his Boy Scout troop. Yes there are other troops, but it took him about three years to really talk to these guys and he is now a troop leader and goes on camping trips with them and everything. I do not think he would have that if we moved somewhere else.

Due to the Affordable Healthcare Act (AHA) my hours at work were cut.

I did not make much to begin with...I just moved closer to work so I could have lower rent and walk to work, saving about $400 a month...well...

The AHA stated that any part time instructors at universities that teach more than 15 credit hours per academic year must be provided insurance. Guess what happened? Universities across the country slashed hours. By losing the hours I also lost my extra advising contract. This "simple" policy change cost me a loss of about $5200 a year. I am out of money and do not get a paycheck until the end of September. I am already behind in some bills due to very little work over summer, and have almost 60 days to go.

I am tired and frustrated.

I cannot afford to even help my son going to college. He worked his butt off, graduated Valadictorian, and got multiple scholarships and grants for school...but we do not know how we can even get his text books.

I have no more financial aid to finsh my DPA and only have three courses left before the capstone. And the entire reason I am even getting this doctorate is so I can open a non-profit here about education and support for the high functioning Autistic people who seem to get lost in the system.

I feel as if as I try to do everything right I keep getting knocked down.

The one good thing so far is, after having been cut off since October 2013, my son (the autistic one) finally has Medicaid again so he can go back to his doctors...

Please help if you can and spread this to others if possible.

I am tired and just need help...

OH! And just so you know I am not just sitting here:

I have already gotten one online job that should help, but the first paycheck won;t be for at least 60 days, and I have a lead on another part-time teaching job, but that also won't be for a few months. Also, I cannot work a bunch of hours outside of the house (as in late day, night, or too much on weekends) due to my son. He is fine being alone some, but it is not good for him to just be in a house alone for huge blocks of time...

Any advice or help of any sort, even online work I can do, is helpful.

Thank you if you took the time to read this and thank you even more if you are able to help.

If you want a break down of why I need the ammount, just ask. I will gladly tell you how much is needed for what.
