Anna McPeak hasn't added a story.
John and Evelyn have been married for almost 52 years, and raised three children. John and Evelyn had both been retired for years, and lived a very modest life.....never asking for much from anyone. In December, John had a heart surgery and another in February. In May, he fell due to a severe kidney infection. He was in ICU due to development of pnemonia while being treated for the kidney infection. After recoverying, he was in rehab for several weeks. At the point of almost being able to come home, he developed an infection that was septic. He was placed again in ICU barely making it. This infection damaged his heart even more. John had another heart surgery. He was in rehab once again, but the heart still needed more. As his heart rate was racing and blood pressure was dangerously low, he was again rushed to the hospital for another heart surgery. At this point it was obvious that he was in congestive heart failure. He returned to rehab, but made it a little over a week until his heart gave out. His wife, Evelyn, had mounting hospital bills.
John never met a stranger, and would talk for hours to anyone. It did not matter the subject because he had views on any world matter that he would love to discuss. He instilled values in his children of faith, love and hard work. His son was special to him. His son has down's syndrome and was the light of his life. He loved animals especially the dog and cat he had now. He grew up on a farm, but these two animals grabbed his heart more than others except maybe his childhood german shepherd.
Please consider helping the family out during this time of mounting bills. After 52 years, Evelyn is lost without him. She needs time to recoup and not worry about the mounting costs. No amount is too small as you can imagine the financial burden Evelyn will be faced with.
