We rescued Nikkei at 3 weeks old along with her 2 brothers and 1 sister due to the fact there mama stopped feeding them. We bottle fed and cared for the babies like they were are own. When it came time for Nikkei to find a new home, we just could not do it. She had become a part of our family and we could not let her go. Over the next 9 months we grew to love her like our own child. We potty trained her, taught her to walk on a leash, sit, lay down, stay and beg. We did not want 3 dogs but Nikkei has become our 3rd dog.

1 and 1/2 months ago we had a family emergency and had to leave town for a few days, so Nikkei had to go and visit with a "Friend" of ours. Everything seemed fine when she came home. A few weeks later she started exibiting signs of pregnancy. We were very upset as we had plans to spay her and she is still a baby and small. Last Thursday Nikkei started vomiting and had severe diahreah. I decided to watch her closely and thought it was pregnancy symptoms. She completely stopped eating and vomited everytime she drank any water. She became very lethargc. We did not have any funds to take her to the vet and could only pray for a recovery. Things got very bad, very quickly! We had to find a way to get her seen. Luckly we found a vet that would see her and let us pay later. When she went in the felt a lump in her belly and thought it was a blockage so surgery was scheldued imedietly. There was no blockage but her uterus had become infected due to her size and age, and being pregnant. They had to remove her uterus and the puppies. She is still in the hospital now and can not come home until she eats. The vet bill is already over $1000 and she will need medicine, supplies, and follow up care. We can not afford this bill at the time and any help will be appreciated!!

Anything funds left over will be donated to a local shelter or rescue group!
