After months of waiting Bronte has now grown more than the 14" required to provide a ponytail to go towards making a natural hair wig.

At last my very own Rapunzel is ready to donate her pride and joy - her golden locks.  After months of waiting Bronte's hair is now longer than the 14" required to provide a ponytail to go towards making a natural hair wig (did you know it takes 20 to 25 ponytails to make just one!?!?).

Inspired by one of my dearest friends who has had to live with alopecia for most of her life, and by one of my beautiful, brave, teenage neighbours who has recently had to learn to cope with the condition, Bronte is donating her hair and any funds raised to the Rapunzel Foundation, a charitable organisation that works to improve the lives of those living with long term hair loss through giving financial assistance to those people who wish to wear a comfortable, natural looking wig which will allow them to engage in day to day activities with confidence & without the social stigma attached to hair loss.

For more information please go to their website

On Wednesday 2nd July at noon, she will get her hair cut short with thanks to local hairdresser Haze @ No 10.

For the next 30 days you can help Bronte raise funds by making a donation in any amount and sharing her story.

Thank you.
