Aubrey's our recently adopted blockhead, who is also my therapy dog. She tore a knee ligament and needs immediate surgery.

We anticipate being able to cover the additional costs of her recovery and rehab, and are only asking for help with the cost of surgery. Unfortunately, pet insurance will not cover this surgery because she is so newly adopted (2.5 months ago).

All our pets are rescues, and we take pride in giving them excellent, lifelong care. We've never had to ask for help before. In fact, we have a history of donating to Guiding Eyes for the Blind and local rescue organizations like hssv.org and recently uvhs.org.

Aubrey's knee injury occurred at the worst possible time, with our vet budget already overspent, and our "slush fund" applied to that overage and upcoming cross-country move.

Please help Aubrey clear this unexpected hurdle. At 1.5 years old, she has many great years of service ahead. And in just 2 months, she's become an important member of the family and well-liked in the community.

Any donation is gratefully appreciated, and please do share! You can follow her progress (surgery, life, pawing it back AND forward) on Facebook. Her shelter story is here, and her current adventures are here.
