The Jr. Sharks Organization will be hosting the first annual “Skate For The Troops and Jr. Sharks Fundraiser” On Sunday, February 2, 2014. The proceeds will go to Defending The Blue Line and the Jr. Sharks Scholarship Fund.

Our mission at Defending The Blue Line is ensuring that children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in the game of hockey. We accomplish this by providing free equipment for military kids, hockey camps, special events, and financial assistance for registration fees and other costs associated with hockey.

The San Jose Jr. Sharks is a youth hockey club focused on long-term player development. We intentionally offer various levels of teams in order to address the different needs and interests of members in each program. The Jr. Sharks offer competitive teams for boys (ages 9-18), girls (ages 8-19) and women (over 20 years old). The funds raised will be directed toward the Jr. Shark’s scholarship and club expenses for those less fortunate.

This is a huge event for our club and we’ll need participation from as many team families and players as possible. At the “Skate For The Troops and Jr. Sharks Fundraiser” there will be an equipment drive, silent auction, activities and raffle prizes along with NHL support!

With the 2013 tax year coming to a close, we encourage you to consider us in your year end contributions.
