My mentor, Linda Forrest, PhD, has invited me to get involved in psychological advocacy in a new way. While I attend the American Psychological Association's (APA) Education Leadership Conference, an advocacy dinner will be held for Rep. Michael Honda, who has a history of supporting graduate psychology education.

To attend the dinner, I need to raise $500. This provides me an opportunity to network with Rep. Honda and other prominent leaders in government and APA, offering a student perspective on the needs of graduate level psychology education. It is also quite gracious that Dr. Forrest asked me to attend as a student, so it presents a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.

I thank you in advance for your donation. The size of the donation matters not. As a graduate student, I need the collective effort of friends, colleagues, and family to help me reach the goal of $500 by September 20. So, I'm counting on you.

If you know me, you know I am an advocate to my core. This is a new arena for me, and I look forward to the opportunity.
