Justin Hensler was thrown from a truck on May 10, 2013. He was medivaced to Trinity Hospital in ND. He was intubated in the ICU for 10 days and in the hospital and rehab hospital for longer. He sustained multiple injuries; fractured his spine (8.5 hour surgery) which needed a five level fusion, broke 5 ribs - which punctured both lungs requiring chest tubes to keep them inflated (developed pneumonia), broke his clavicle (another surgery), broke his scapula, dislocated his hip, ripped off part of his ear, injured his lip and developed a blood clot in his lung after he was discharged which required another medivac to the hospital for a few days.

The driver of the truck did not have insurance, it had lapsed 2 weeks prior to the accident. Justin has medical insurance but his bills are expected to be close to 500,000 when all is said and done. His insurance does not cover both of the Medivac flight costs either. He is still laid-up (two months now) with a hard back brace and is not expected to be released to work for at least another month. He has exhausted his savings, and has no money left to pay bills until he goes back to work. His company has been awesome and are holding his job, but he still has had zero income since the accident.

Please donate to show our support for our wonderful Justin!
