Notes: Thursday when we took this flashy girl outside for her picture to be taken there was a lot going on at Camelot (chutes being set up for Sunday's rodeo) and this girl got spooked a couple of times (understandably!) so we opted to take her inside. Once inside she was the perfect model & stood stock always stood still when asked, was extremely respectful & seemed really eager to please. While standing in front of her & looking at her head on I noticed that her right eye has a light "haze" (cloud/spot) over part of it...and so, it seems, does the left. She definitely sees, however as far as we could tell her vision is limited. Which may also explain why she became a bit uneasy in the pen Wednesday night any time I moved past her shoulder. It may also explain why she kicked out at one of the riders early Wednesday night when he put a saddle on her. She did ride quietly through the ring, but she was wide eyed, fussing with the bit & ignored her rider when he repeatedly tried to get her to trot. My impression was that she's a good girl who just needs a more predictable environment & an owner willing to work with her.
