Hypereosinophilic Syndrome, HES or Hypereosinophilia is a rare blood disorder. Patients with HES have a marked increase in eosinophils - a type of white blood cell - in their bloodstream. These patients typically suffer symptoms of a wide variety of other illnesses - such as colds, the flu or rashes. While this makes the disorder hard to diagnose. However, when diagnosed correctly and the disorder actively managed, patients can lead healthy lives.

There is a shortage of medical professionals gathering data to research HES. The one's that are need help to fund their efforts.

Elizabeth Milligan died in November 2008 from HES. We hope to raise some money to help combat the syndrome in her memory.
