My moms story started in 2006 when she found a mass in her breast. Biopsy can back positive and our worlds were crushed. She has a double mastectomy and start chemo. It seemed every day after that was nothing but bad days for her. No matter how we tried we couldn't make her feel better. After chemo was completed the reconstruction began. More bad days ahead began again. Finally it was over and she felt normal, but not quite. Her hair started to return and could continue her life again. A few years past and a lump returned, she got the news she had to start chemo again, but with radiation as well. Knowing how the chemo put her life at a standstill before, she tried it again but couldn't continue, it seemed to make her more ill than the last time. She agreed to continue the radiation. Multiple burns later she was finished and she was happy again. as time passed she would notice more and more tiny nodules around her beat area, the doctors passed them off as cysts. Its been Eight years since the first word of bad news, but as of today.. she's a survivor. The reason I started this for her is because her medical insurance problems and her life long medications. She has to take medicine for the rest of her life to keep her alive and she has pain medication she has to take just to get through the day. As anyone knows medical insurance has policies about patients with pre-existing conditions. Her husband works in the construction business and his job is always changing, which means their insurance is changing. For a while they were paying $900 a month just for medical insurance. Now his job has changed again and she cant get insurance. Just one of her monthly medications is $250 a month. I'm in fear that soon she will lose it all, her home and her life. I cannot bare that thought so I'm reaching out. Please help my mom to survive what she has already fought soo hard for.
