From the time I was about 16, I always had a “special” feeling towards Africa. About five years ago I had the pleasure to visited Egypt. To stand near the pyramids, sail down the Nile River, and go inside King Tut’s Tomb was more than awesome, it was an incredible experience. But what impressed me most was the children asking for pens and pencil out of my purse because they needed them for school. These writing utensils were hot commodities!!
I spoke to the people and learned of a need that I felt I could assist with. Lack of education in Africa is one of the causes of poverty and disease. Hundreds of millions of Africans are illiterate. Only 56% of African children attend school and only about a third of that number actually finishes grade school. Schools have very little equipment, having a chalkboard is considered privileged and most schools do not have desks for students to sit on. Overpopulation of their educational system is an understatement.

I am dedicated to the process of making a change to help the children of Africa learn. But Save Africa’s Children need your help. Your donation will bring us closer to our goal of $10,000. Many business and community leaders are on board as well as hundreds of individuals. Join me and hundreds others as we change the lives of children who desire and deserve to learn.
Save Africa’s Children is a non-profit organization and your donation is tax-deductible.
