Love Creamery is opening a new scoop shop and
production factory in Superior, WI, and we need YOUR help to make
it the warm and welcoming community gathering place we know it can be!
From our very first scoop, you’ve been part of this journey. Our
community in Wisconsin and Minnesota has supported us in ways we
could have only dreamed of. We are SO grateful. As we get close to
opening our new shop and factory, we want to make it a special place
for all of our neighbors to come together, celebrate, and share the Love.
Many of you know the building we’re working on — the former ICO
in Billings Park, Superior, WI. We’ve learned through community
members and our research that this space has been a 7‑Eleven, a
convenience store and meat market — a real neighborhood hub since
1975–50 years!
And we are bringing that community spirit back.
The Dream + What’s Next
Our new scoop shop and production kitchen will let us make more of the small‑batch, locally sourced ice cream you love—and give our community a fun, inviting place to gather and celebrate.
What We’ve Already Invested
After more than a decade vacant—with leaks, frozen lines, pests, and patchwork fixes—we took it down to the bricks and rebuilt. New roof, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical; fresh insulation, walls, floors, windows, and doors; plus a bathroom, sidewalk, backup generator, freezers, and the equipment to make and serve ice cream. It’s a significant investment, because we believe in this community.
Why We are Fundraising
We’re almost ready to open. Now we need your help to finish the last, most visible pieces:
- a safe, accessible parking lot,
- a three‑season porch with greenery and cozy seating, and
- outdoor pergola with seating where neighbors can linger after games, celebrate milestones, and say hi over a cone or coffee.
Rising construction costs and surprises pushed us over budget, and this final funding closes the loop.

For every dollar you donate, it will be matched with 50¢ by an anonymous community patron. We’ve set our public campaign goal at $100,000 ; with the 50¢‑on‑the‑dollar match, that unlocks $150,000 toward the finish work. Any additional support helps close the final gap to the $158,000 total and provides a small contingency for last‑minute needs.
