About the 2025 Country 2 Country 4 Cancer Ride
The 2025 Country 2 Country 4 Cancer ride organised by Bristol Myers Squibb will feature more than 90 of the company's employees cycling in five European countries from 5-22nd September in support of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and selected members to raise funds with the aim of accelerating the fight against cancer and facilitating a better life for cancer patients.
For the 10th year, the 2025 edition of the Country 2 Country 4 Cancer (C2C4C) ride will feature more than 90 Bristol Myers Squibb employees riding in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain and the United Kingdom for nearly 2,200 kilometers from 5-22 September.
The 18-day event involves six teams each cycling a three-day segment. This year we celebrate 12 years of C2C4C and riding for patients, a tradition that launched with the inaugural event taking place in the United States in 2014. Since 2016, nearly 540 Bristol Myers Squibb employees in Europe have raised more than $3.7 million through the C2C4C ride.
In this 2025 edition, six teams will feature riders participating from 19 countries including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States. The mission of C2C4C is to raise awareness for cancer research and European cancer organisations who are members of the UICC.
Raising Funds for Maggie's Cancer Center and Aoibheann's Pink Tie National Children's Cancer Charity
Maggie's Cancer Center: For 3 decades Maggie’s centres have been providing a unique evidence-based programme of support for people with cancer and their families from 24 centres across the UK.
Maggie’s professional cancer support specialists, psychologists and benefits advisors help people navigate the complexities of their cancer diagnosis through a personalised programme of support. Last year we supported over 310,000 visits from people with cancer and their families and friends.
Our centres are designed to be more like a home than a hospital, where people with cancer find the hope, determination, and resources they need to cope with one of the toughest challenges any of us is likely to have to face. They are places to find practical advice about benefits; places where qualified experts provide psychological support; places for people with cancer, their friends and family to meet people who are in similar situations to share experiences.
All our support is free of charge, and we welcome everyone – people with a current or past cancer diagnosis, their family members, friends, and those who have lost a loved one to cancer.
Aoibheann's Pink Tie which is a charity helping children (and their families) during their battle with cancer, providing the necessary support to allow the family to focus on their wellbeing, their support of each other, and the treatment and recovery of their child - link to donate for this charity is here: Aoibheann’s Pink Tie by Aoibheann’s Pink Tie (fundrazr.com)
Who Are the Riders
The participants are novice riders who have committed themselves to 5 months of intensive training to complete their portion of the ride. All are dedicated Bristol Myers Squibb employees who are riding to help raise funds to fight against cancer by supporting European cancer organisations, who are members of UICC.
