Help Hazeldale 5th Graders go to BizTown this year!

BizTown is an exciting and immersive simulation that gives kids the opportunity to learn how to apply for a job, earn a paycheck and pay taxes, and run a business all on their own! In addition, leading up to the field trip the 5th grade teachers will use the Junior Achievement BizTown curriculum to teach students essential financial literacy skills such as how to set up a savings account, keep a balanced check book, and apply for a loan.

The BizTown experience costs $20 per student. To take our students on this field trip we will need $1500 for all 75 students. Our PTO has paid for this field trip in the past but they came up short on their fundraising goals last year and cannot fund the trip this year.

Hazeldale Elementary is a Title 1 school which means at least 40% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Without help from our community we will not be able to attend. We are asking for your help to give these kids a chance to learn the important life skills taught through the BizTown curriculum and field trip.
