Healthcare center for a village in sudan

The village town of Alshataib, in Central Sudan (White Nile province, population ~15,000), is in urgent need of a health centre to serve the local community. The closest health and hospital facility is in Ad Douiem (~ 1 hour’s drive away). The journey there is through an uneven dirt road, which can be impossible to pass during the rainy season. This can lead to severe complications for patients requiring urgent medical attention, and has proven fatal in the past.

The aim of this project is to build and sustain a health centre in Alshataib that would be convenient to the local community as well as the surrounding villages. The centre would provide basic medical services such as vaccinations, check-ups, basic surgical procedures, blood tests (especially for malaria) and some emergency services. There will also be a pharmacy on site.

Although parts of the centre have been built, there is still much work to be done.

My initial goal is to raise £1000, which will go towards the overall funding. The money raised will be used for:

- Completing the rest of the building work.
- Bringing in Medical supplies.
- Purchasing furniture and other essentials.

- Hiring more medical staff

- Supporting water services to the centre

Any donations are much appreciated...

Thank you for your help!

I will post regular updates informing of the progress.
