Martha’s Vineyard SOUND is a festival of music and the arts produced by locals on the island, held on Waban Park in Oak Bluffs, across from the Town Beach, on July 11, 2015.

Martha’s Vineyard SOUND will be a festival of music and the arts produced by locals on the island, held on Waban Park, in Oak Bluffs, across from the Town Beach, on July 12, 2014. The festival will launch the Martha’s Vineyard Collaborative (MVC), which will be launched as the beneficiary of the MV Sound fest. The MVC will facilitate collaboration between Island civic organizations, local government, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals, to accomplish projects Islanders want and need. The planning will include the community at a grassroots level, and the projects will fulfill the criteria of enhancing social, economic, and environmental sustainability on Martha’s Vineyard.

Musical acts for the festival will range from indie, rock, and folk, to reggae and hip hop, appealing to a diverse set of tastes. Visual artists and food vendors will peddle their wares and delicious eats. Festivities will continue beyond 9pm at satellite locations throughout downtown Oak Bluffs. We will support local food and business, and attempt to make this first event as close to zero-waste as possible.

MV SOUND is proud to be sister festival to San Miguel SOUND, which held its first annual event in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in April 2014.
