This July, I am hoping to lead a 24-7 Mission team that will work with a church in Beirut that serves refugee camps in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, bringing medical care and aid to a broken, confused people.

I am hoping to lead a 24-7 Mission team that will work with a church in Beirut that serves refugee camps in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, bringing medical care and aid to a broken, confused people between 12th - 25th July 2014.

They need our help.

It all began in March 2011 as peaceful protests were met with strong military opposition, resulting in a group of military defectors forming the Free Syrian Army with an aim to topple the government and remove President Assad.

The resulting civil war has continued for three years.

100,000 have died. 11,000 of those are thought to be children. 9.5 million have lost their homes. 2.5 million have been forced to leave the country.

Because of this approximately 1 in 5 people in Lebanon is a Syrian refugee fleeing the horrors of civil war. This influx has put major pressure on the middle east, with the UNHCR stating late last year that

"The impact has serious security implications and health, education and water and sanitation systems have all exceeded their capacities.”

Will you be able to help cover the cost of my flights? £500 is all it will take.
