Temple University Anime Club needs your help in raising funds for epic activites! We want to reward our members whom have been involved in making our club fun and welcoming place.

Founded in 1999, Temple University Anime Club brought otakus from all over campus to share in their hobby. To call it simply a hobby, though, would be an understatement. Being an otaku is a huge facet of one's personality that draws individuals from many walks of life. The bond that our members share from this one aspect of our lives we have in common is like no other. To be a part of our club is a sure way to create life-long friends and strengthen the otaku community throughout the area.

Our club is more about just watching screenings of the latest anime. We try tirelessly to benefit our surrounding communty in any way we can. For many years, we have volunteered at the Shofuso House in Fairmount Park and have recently symbolically adopted a Red Panda at the Philadelphia Zoo, the animal which we have now made our club mascot. Our current large-scale community project is contacting all of Temple University's student organizations to get them on board with a Box Top Fundraiser for a local elementary school.

Your donation is crucial to showing our members that we care. Student organizations at Temple University do NOT receive initual funding or stipends. Allocations are limited and are not guarenteed. Therefore, we are left to raise every penny ourselves, sometimes reaching into our own pockets to make our meetings and events possible.

With help from your donations, we can purchase desperately-needed office supplies, electronics, and storage devices for our expanding members only library. Second, we will use some of the funds to create more affective promotional material for our club and its events. Our last and most important goal for obtaining funds is to use it to host bigger and better events outside of our general meetings. This is especially crucial because student organizations at our university are charged $300 per room, $40/hr for security (required for money-handling events), expect a cost of at least $300 in catering expenses, and at least $50 in decorations that are required to be supplied by the hosting student organization.

Help make our club the most exciting otaku haven to come by donating today!
