On Monday March 18, 2013 Danielle Lea, her 3 children Taylor (girl) age 9, Timmy age 8, and Tina Cater age 7, and their dad Jason Cater lost everything they owned to a house fire. The fire broke out in the children's room, as they had not gone to bed yet. The fire destroyed everything they owned. They also lost 3 cats and one dog. This occurred in Mathews, VA. All they had was what was on their backs. The children watched their home destroyed while standing outside with no socks or shoes. The dad had to break a window out of the home in order for them to escape. He now has staples in his hand. They were renting the home, and they did not have renters insurance. All their valuables, and their money went up in flames. The Red Cross can only help out for 3 days for a place to stay. They have no funds for a new place to rent due to the fire destroyed it. The oldest child is deaf, so this makes it a little harder for her to fully understand. They went back to the home on March 19, 2013 to find that nothing is salvageable. They buried all 3 of the cats and one dog. Everything they new was in the home. They have nothing. Please find it in your hearts to help this family that just lost everything.
