In 2008 i was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer. Osteosarcoma. I had to have 26cm of my right femur and my knee removed and replaced with a prosthetic and only just avoided amputation. I want to raise money for Sarcoma UK & Bomere Heath Cricket Club. Bone cancers are not as well known about as some other types of cancer, i want to raise money to help fund the research so hopefully one day others will not have to go through this devastating disease. I also want to raise money for my cricket club, cricket is one of the few sports i can still do and really enjoy. I have met some great people and made some fantastic friends but without funding the cricket club will cease to exist. I was treated for my cancer in the Christie Hospital in Manchester and i had my surgery in The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. I want to thank everyone who helped me get through this difficult period in my life, friends and family but most importantly my consultants Dr Leahy and Dr Cool and their teams, also a massive thanks to all the nursing staff who looked after me and also helped me get through it. Without all of you i would not have got through it!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

My ride will start al Bomere Heath Cricket Club and end at the Christie hospital in Manchester and will be taking place on the 24st March 2013. So please please help me to raise as much as i possibly can!!!!!!!
