On Sept. 22, my newly adopted cat, Omar, came home with a broken femur and ulna in his front leg. Since then, he has endured 15 weeks of vet visits for weekly splint changes so that his arm can heal with xrays every three weeks. As you can imagine, this has been a rather expensive ordeal. Just to put it in perspective, here is the breakdown. Originally, the estimated time for healing was 8-10, maybe 12 weeks. We are now at 15 weeks with a bill of an average of $75 per week after an initial ER bill of $400, and at least 2 more weeks of splinting, another xray, and then 4-6 weeks of follow up in a soft bandage while his muscles build back up. We are making it and I am so happy that he is healing, but so many of you have been following his case and many of you have asked if you can contribute to his care, so I have decided to set this up so that if you'd like to make a contribution, you easily can. Please do not feel obligated. If you choose to give, any amount will help him.
