PLEASE HELP WHILE THE SUN SHINES!

When the rain comes which is often, this family's home fills up with several feet of water.  

Jonny and Tiann Cummock experienced this first hand on Christmas day when they took food to this family.  It was heartbreaking to see their situation.  

In these photos some of the water had receded but it was more than 3 feet high at the peak of the store.  Nothing was safe in their home. 

In the photo above you can see the water mark on their home.

Trying to be self-sufficient, the father and his two sons run a little business in front of their home, washing motorbikes (and a few cars).

Even without flooding, the family lives in very difficult circumstances. This is their kitchen.

n February, Louise ZoBell, director of Dominican Starfish Foundation along with some of her family and Amarilis were able to announce to the family that they would be getting a new home! Their was so much emotion and many tears shed that day. They off course remembered Jonny and Tiann and are so grateful to them that they will be helping them.

Hopefully this will never happen again!
