Maria Lenardon hasn't added a story.
As some of you know, I have been sporadically attending Eastside Boxing for the last 2 years. I first heard about Eastside Boxing gym through colleagues and had always wanted to try this type of training to expedite some of my fitness goals. What I didn't realize when I started was all of the great social programs the gym provides to the DTES community. When I heard about the various experiences people had with fighting in BC Beer Wars, I became inspired to give it a shot to push myself into some unknown territory all the while raising money for such an incredible community resource. Please help me raise money for the gym and the social programs held within. Each fighter is required to raise $500, but I would like to go above and beyond this to see how much I can raise for such a worthy cause. See further down this page to see what kind of programs they offer.
Some useful information:..
Come watch me fight in 3 X 1-minute rounds for the BC Beer Wars event:
When: Saturday, April 18th
Where: Croatian Cultural Centre, 3250
Commercial Drive, Vancouver
Time: 2:00 pm until late
Also...
1. If I get injured before the fight, or they cannot find me an appropriate opponent, all funds raised remain with the fundraiser.
2. Tax receipts are only issued on amounts of $100 or more. They
must be made off-line (to me) in cash or cheque. If you wish to
donate less than $100 or don't care about the tax receipt, make your
donation directly on this page.
THANK YOU to Luppolo Brewing https://luppolobrewing.ca/ for sponsoring me.
Thank you for taking a look and donating and maybe even coming out to cheer us all on!
