Last year so many of you supported my campaign to get to a lymph specific cupping class. YOU DID IT! Helped me raise the money to get to this incredible class which started me on the path to becoming a nationally certified Lymphatic Therapist.

That class helped me develop more skills and knowledge around lower leg edema, why it happens and what can be done to help my clients who are dealing with it. My big takeaway was that I needed to learn MORE about LYMPH!

Many people, Doctors included, are unaware of the lymphatic system and the vital role it plays in balancing fluids in the body, removing waste products and excess proteins from the interstitial fluid, delivering nutrients to the cells, and also stimulating the immune system.
And the lymph system is directly related to managing edema AKA swelling.

This fall I got hooked up with an awesome local teacher and have been studying to become a Lymphatic Therapist with the Dr. Vodder School International which is the source of the original Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD® - a bodywork technique to stimulate lymphatic flow) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (a system of wrapping and bandaging).

I have successfully passed the first two classes.  I was one of 10 LE&RN/Lymph Notes Lymphedema Therapist Scholarship recipients, which covered my most recent class. Here's my story about my inspiration to study and my plans for the future. I hope you'll check it out. http://lymphaticnetwork.org/news-events/lern-lymph-notes-scholarship-winner-plans-for-the-future

It's been an amazing journey so far. Already, I have been able to help clients make huge impacts in their well-being, and their edema.

-!-  Ankles that have been swollen for years are starting to go down.
-!-  Having a client tell me she feels like there's literally more space for her to move in her own skin is mindblowing.
-!-  More than one person has reported getting the best sleep of their life after experiencing Manual Lymph Drainage.
-!-  I will be able to help people who are living with lymphedema after having cancer treatment.
-!-  After this training I will be able to offer clients with lower leg edema a treatment plan in a non-judgmental and body positive environment.

There is a shortage of lymphatic specialists in this country and the need keeps growing.
So I want to keep going. I need to keep going. I would love your help to keep going...

The Vodder School training has 4 parts. Only a combo class called Therapy II/III is remaining. Unlike my other classes which were local, this next class is in Dallas, TX. And it's 2 weeks long.

Here's the breakdown of expenses to get me to the class.

Therapy II/III Class fee - $1995
Lodging - $700 (sharing a room and splitting the $1400 cost)
Airfare - $350 (average of the prices I'm seeing now)

This makes my total $3045.

Every dollar donated will translate into TIME ON THE TABLE. You can help by buying a pre-paid massage or lymphatic service for yourself, a friend or a stranger.

You can choose an hour or 90 minute massage for yourself, a friend or a donation. Or if you can donate to a community fund, where every $80 will translate into a donated massage that will be given throughout the year after I have received my certification, helping make my lymphatic therapist sessions or traditional massage accessible to folks for whom even my sliding scale begins too high.

Every little bit helps. You can read more about my massage practice at Radical Being Bodywork. Thank you for your support, I appreciate any and all help you can give. <3
