This project supports the ongoing feasibility study on the effectiveness of the CVAC Process™ in improving physical conditioning for people suffering from Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN).  The feasibility study began in July 2013 on a limited budget, and your contributions will help fund project staffing, equipment upgrades, participant incentives, transportation assistance, and analysis costs in order to complete the feasibility study.  If the feasibility study proves successful, the project will continue as a phase 1 clinical trial or as part of a larger academic research effort exploring treatments for people with diabetes.

The CVAC Process stimulates the body’s natural adaptation response through dynamic changes in barometric pressure, temperature, and density of air. This enables users to exercise every part of their bodies at a cellular level while sitting in a comfortable CVAC Pod™ and without the high-impact physical exertion often associated with traditional exercise. The full range of benefits of the CVAC Process are still unknown, but Eterno Group and CVAC Systems Inc. are working together with the passion and hope of bringing relief to millions suffering from chronic conditions such as DPN.

1. What makes “Eterno Group’s Diabetic research project using CVAC™ technology” project fund-worthy?

This project will help fund critical research with the potential to help millions of people in North America, and many more worldwide. There are approximately 32 million people living with diabetes in the United States, about 60% of whom will have some form of neuropathy, with the worst cases leading to amputations. Current treatment protocols for people with DPN are limited to expensive drugs with certain side effects that many patients cannot tolerate. We hope that the CVAC Process is the answer these people have been looking for. In a few small feasibility studies, the CVAC Process  (which is completely drug-free) has shown promise with positive effects reported in several areas including in the participants' stamina, mobility, and quality of life.

2. What appeals to you most about Eterno Group’s project?

First and foremost, we are motivated by the desire we share with CVAC of improving the quality of life for people living with this debilitating, chronic illness.

3. What else can be done to help this project succeed?

Help us spread awareness of the CVAC technology and Eterno Group's efforts. Talk to friends, family, and local groups or support centers for people who may suffer from DPN about the potential of CVAC technology.  If you are in the Orange County, CA area, volunteer for the study and tell anyone who might be interested in the CVAC Process to find a local provider near them.
