I thought I’d celebrate my 50th year with a little adventure. So, on November 15th 2013 I will be leaving Ruislip to walk The Annapurna Circuit; said to be one of the top ten treks in the modern world. Walking for 21 days I will cover over 266km at altitude (highest point the Thorung La Pass at 5416m) to take in the sights of some of the Himalaya’s highest peaks. The trip is fully funded by me and so I thought I’d take the opportunity to raise some money for something close to my heart; Community Rugby. I will be raising money to buy kit for the dozens of coaches that give their time free of charge week in, week out, simply to make sure local youngsters can enjoy the wonderful game of rugby. With over 300 boys and girls in 14 age groups plus 4 adults teams, Ruislip Rugby Club club needs all the help it can get to support the dozens of volunteers that run the club for the love of the game and their community.
