Hi! I'm Heather. In 2009 I had a major accident and suffered a TBI. I have followed the Tripp Halstead story and learned of an opportunity to join the Ride To Give team for Ironman Chattanooga 2014. Help support two charities close to my heart. I will also be donating 50% of the proceeds to G-Pact. In honor of a friend who suffers from gastroparesis (GP) and chronic intestinal-pseudo obstructions (CIP), two diseases that few people know about. Annemarie Riehm is a fighter and an inspiration. She was diagnosed with both GP and CIP. Since her diagnosis she has suffered greatly, to the extent of having so much of her stomach removed that it is now the size of an olive. Physically speaking, she would never be able to have the opportunity of competing in an Ironman event. She receives her nutrition from a central line and fluids through IV's. There is so much more to her story that I will expand on in my blog, which I have started to help raise awareness for both of my charities, as well as to notate the journey I will be taking on the road to Ironman Chattanooga 2014.
