Kaylee is a cute 8 year old girl who has been dealing with alopecia areata for 3 1/2 years. Her brother Caleb was diagnosed a 7 months ago right after his tenth birthday and lost all body hair in two weeks. Last year our family had the opportunity to take Kaylee to an Alopecia camp by Children's Alopecia Project or CAP. CAP is a non-profit organization whose main focus is the self esteem of children with alopecia. Every year they do a camp for CAP kids and their families. Kaylee had the best time and her self esteem grew from attending this camp. For the first time she was able to see other kids like her and realize being different is okay. It also taught her and other kids with the disease coping strategies for bullying and other issues. This year we had saved money to go again and take our son for the first time but due to medical bills and other financial difficulties that wasn't going to happen. Until our friends decided to start fundraising to help us take our kids. Every little bit helps and thank you so much in advance.
