As some of you may know, I have been offered an incredible opportunity to work as a company management intern at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in New London Connecticut this summer. The O'Neill is one of the premier theater companies in the United States, offering playwrights, directors, and performers the chance to workshop and perform new works and productions outside of New York. This summer they will be hosting the National Playwrights Conference, The National Musical Theater Conference, National Puppetry Conference, and the Cabaret and Performance Conference. This is a chance for me to brush shoulders with many of the leading professionals in the industry and gain invaluable experience in a hands on environment. This is the place where Avenue Q was workshopped before it came to New York. I need your help to make this happen. In order to pay for housing and food costs, the O'Neill requires a $2,800 fee. As an independent student, money is always very tight and coming up with almost $3,000 is incredibly difficult. This is an amazing opportunity and I would really love to not have to take out a loan to make this a reality. Anything you can give would be appreciated more than you can imagine. Even the smallest amount will go a long way in sending me to the East Coast for a summer that could potentially launch my career after graduation next year. Thank you guys so much!
