Dear friends and family,
My son, Thyme Keppeler, is currently in the 10th grade at McKinleyville High School. He has diligently been maintaining a GPA above 3.0 and is currently on the Honor Roll and enrolled in an Advanced Placement European History class. His class is planning a trip to Europe where they will visit some of the places they have been studying. Thyme's class will be going to London, Paris, Rome and Florence. Traveling abroad has been proven to help young people become more prepared as adults and develops better decision making skills. This kind of experience can provide cultural immersion and increase independence that would benefit Thyme on his journey towards adulthood. I made this page for Thyme in order to advertise our efforts to raise money for the cost of his trip, which is approximately 3,500.00 dollars. His class is earning money through local fundraising such as car washes and coffee sells, this will cover a portion of the cost, but not enough for me to send Thyme on the trip. If you are a member of our family, Thyme included a letter in our Holiday greetings. Please feel free to contribute any amount possible to Thyme and I's fundraising efforts, it is important to me that Thyme has this opportunity to travel. I feel good about supporting Thyme's efforts to explore the world and I hope you do as well. Sincerely and thank you, Corina Keppeler.
