Madyson is a 10 year old girl. She loves to play sports like lacrosse and soccer. She is very funny and bubbly . Madyson was just diagnosed on 11-29-12 with Type 1 Diabetes. Type 1 diabetes mean that her pancreas does not produce the insulin Mady's need to balance out her blood sugar. Madyson will be insulin dependent for the rest of her life. This has been very hard on Mady and her parents Tony a
nd Keri, who feel overwhelmed by the diagnosis and challenges ahead in Mady's feature. Madyson's parents have decided to take charge and give her a wonderful gift a Diabetic Service Dog (A certified public service dog). This Awesome service dog would give Mady's parents piece of mind when they can not be with Madyson. A Diabetic service dog is trained to Mady's smells and would Alert her and her parents to Mady's highs and lows of her blood sugar before it is out of control. Blood sugar levels can change rapidly with out you knowing. This dog would be a life saver to Madyson. A service dog can go with Madyson everywhere she goes like school and her sports and well like I said EVERYWHERE!!!! Its an Awesome gift to give a child with Diabetes and that is why Madyson's parents are looking for help. A Diabetic Service Dog Costs $18,000. I have heard from people that I could buy a car or take a trip with that kind of money. But her parents don't I think like that when this could save their daughters life. The only hold up is that Madyson's parents do not have that kind of money. Mady's dad Tony works two jobs and just brings enough in to pay the bills. Mady's mom is trying to find a job but with Mady's appointments and her three other children it makes it very hard to find a place to hire her with the hours she can work. Madyson's family is going to try and do some fundraising to help Madyson get her Alert dog match but are limited on what they can do. If you feel in your heart that you could help Madyson get her Diabetic service dog we are accepting donations. You can mail them and make check payable to Keri Siragusa PO Box 131 West Henrietta N.Y. 14586 in the memo spot on the check put Madys Match. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
