Dogs go from Death Row in shelters to Potosi Correctional Center (a maximum security facility) where life offenders give them a STAY. These dogs will be killed due to over crowed shelter facilities if someone does not step in and give them a 2nd chance. K9 Rescue & Rehab takes the unwanted from the shelters provides the training for the offenders at PCC and turns strays and unwanted K9's into adopted family pets, companions and working dogs. Dogs in this program were reported by shelters as un-adopted due to: * deaf * to high energy * no manners * biter * food aggressive * not socialized with other dogs * shy and scared not good with people At the end of each training cycle dogs with these "problems" have been re-educated, trained and are in loving homes. Some are even in therapy roles working in our communities giving back to the society that was ready to end their life. It takes between $2-3000 a cycle to save 12 dogs. To provide them will all the medical care, food, love and training they need to achieve their STAY. We believe that Every Dog Needs A Stay - Please help with a donation so we can keep providing a STAY to more K9's.
