The Berry Family partnered with the Jimmy Fund at Dana Farber starting in 2009 in an effort to raise money for cancer research. Over the course of the 3 years, we have raised a little over $95,000. It was Michael Berry’s wish to find a cure for cancer and especially for children as they were his role model during his fight. We started this golf tournament to honor his request and thank you for your support in helping to put an end to cancer. Mike's story: Mike was admitted into the hospital on March 14, 2007. Mike underwent brain surgery on March 21, 2007. They were able to successfully remove 2/3rds of the brain tumor. Mike was diagnosed with Brain Cancer on March 26, 2007. His brain cancer was a mixed Glioma: Oligodendroglioma and Anaplastic Astrocytoma of an intermediate grade (not low, but not the very high) – said mostly low grade but they would treat for the higher grade. After a 2 1/2 year courageous battle undergoing surgeries, radiation, and chemo, Mike passed away on August 24, 2009. To read all of Mike's story feel free to visit Carepages.com; his page is MikeBerry2007. On behalf of the entire Berry family, thank you all for your love and support.
