A number of years ago, a group of St. Lawrence cross country and track alumni got together and made a donation to the cross country program for “championship singlets” that the men’s and women’s teams could wear during the NCAA portion of the season. The tradition quickly took hold, as it’s served to be a tremendous motivational moment for both the men's and women's teams as they put their singlet on for the last time of the season in late November. Beyond this, the fact that the uniforms were made possible through donations provided by former St. Lawrence runners creates an even greater sense of pride and tradition which has been the backbone of the program for many, many years.

With that said, the time has come to retire the first batch of singlets, and the coaches are looking to try and replace these uniforms as soon as enough funds are available to complete the project. A few of the singlets remain in decent shape, but after 8+ years of use, most have seen better days. The “championship” concept has been fully embraced by the track & field program as well over the last few years. So, if the coaches can purchase a new set of tops this year, athletes from both programs will be able to continue the NCAA championship tradition.

Alumni - Let's make this happen! All told, $1,000 would cover the cost, but we should be able to raise considerably more than that. Let's send the current saints to NCAA's looking like champions!
