If you are reading this then you probably know the beloved late Vicki Wirtz who battled sickness in her respiratory system almost half of her adult life leaving her with only a partial lung left before she passed away July 26th, 2014.  Vicki was a devout Christian who loved her family more than herself.  She was a sister, a wife, a mother, an auntie, a grandmother, a nurse, a caretaker, and a friend. She fought her condition and was close to death many times before finding out what was actually the problem.  Recently, at the National Jewish Hospital in Colorado , Vicki learned that she had a genetic condition called Job Syndrome.  This condition is rare, affecting fewer than 1 per million people. About 250 people with Job syndrome have been reported in the medical literature. This discovery not only gave answers to her but to one of her 2 sons and his family, whom he and 3 out his 4 girls tested positve for Job Syndrome.  They must take medication every day for prevention of infection which is very costly.  For more information about Job Syndrome please check out:

Vicki not only left behind 8 siblings, 4 children and 9 grandchildren, she also left behind her husband Rich who is now on his own as she was everything to him and he to her. He is now facing many debts as the medical bills come piling in and the funeral is being arranged.  As a family we have decided to put up a fund raiser to give friends and family a easy way of showing their love and support for Vicki and Rich, by releaving them of some of the burden of finances.  Its not always easy to ask for help, but if every family member and friend could just give a little, it would be more than enough.   We would also like to raise awareness about Job Syndrome and help families like Vicki's. So please help if you can it would really mean so much to so many.  Thank you and God Bless.
