What is the 20/20 project .... Many people have asked me this question, the main focus is towards preparation for me going to China in 2015, there are a lot of pre requirements and a list of credibility to enter and be accepted into China.
So I'm looking for supporters who can help my preparation process and starting the work in China, whoever can help support 20 Euros a month I would greatly appreciate it ??
Taking this step and making this decision is not an easy one at all, but I do not walk alone so I have faith and trust in God to lead me, even if its very overwhelming......
Read more My story ........
I grew up in a loving home have 2 brothers, me being the middle child. Yet, I felt very neglected, weak and insignificant.
At the age of 12, my family faced very challenging times. Unknowingly, I slowly began to drift away from God, and my relationship with Him began to fade. I soon became trapped in spiritual bondage and addictions. I then became desperate, trying to find a way out of it all. I wanted to feel valued and wanted to know that I belonged.
It was a very confusing and empty time of my life. Everything around me was falling apart and I didn't know how to begin changing. It felt like nobody even noticed me anymore and that everyone just passed right by me, as if I didn't exist.
It was at the age of 15-16, when Jesus stopped and picked me up. He attended to all my wounds and since then has been walking with me. Even when I had given up on myself and didn't see any future anymore (yes, suicide had crossed my mind), God did indeed care about. I began to realise that God had a plan and purpose for me and would never give up on me (Jeremiah 29:11).
While I was in that difficult situation, I came to know God's unconditional love. I learned that God has chosen to love us all, regardless of the condition we are in.
This was just the beginning of a beautiful and yet challenging journey:
Slowly I began to gain understanding about what Jesus did on the cross and why it was so important to me and how it applied to my life. After many sleepless nights, I had to respond to God's love for me by accepting the fact that I needed help. I then asked for His forgiveness of all the wrong things that I had been doing and decided to turn away from it.
I had every justifiable reason to blame the family situation for my broken state (which I did do!), but God asked me personally to change and turn to Him.
My new beginning did not make all my problems go away instantly. My family continued to suffer and the need was great. God continued to remain faithful and able. He also provided and sustained us throughout the years.
My walk and relationship with Christ Jesus has grown stronger. I had to learn that the importance of Jesus overcoming the death as he was raised from the grave and how that same power of God is at work in me. Through His perfect sacrifice, He made it possible for me to resist the temptations of going back to a life of shame and frustration. By holding onto the promises of God in His Word (the Bible) and I have also come to the knowledge of my who I am in Christ Jesus, I have found my true identity. Regardless of what people said and how I felt sometimes, I had to believe in God's plan and continue to hold, especially after many fearful nights of hunger. God always showed me that He is with me in the raging storms.
God can use any situation and turn it around. Sometimes difficult circumstances come into our lives to test our hearts to see if we will respond to God's love by running to Him and being victorious; or will we end up running away from Him?
After God became a part of my life at age 15/16, God started to work in my life about reaching out to people around me and getting involved with missions. He also showed me how to abide and remain in His Word and love so that I could move forward.
"He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad." - Matthew 12:30
During the ages of 16-18, God made a way for me to finish school and some of my studies. During that time, I worked part-time and became involved with several outreach groups focused on people living on the streets, and helping with programs for hospitals and schools. I did all of this as a volunteer and I lived by faith, trusting God to take care of me. Those were very challenging days!
After school, God wanted me to start doing missionary work full time. The first 2 years was the most challenging for me, as I remember crying a lot and wondering if there is a secure future in doing missions, especially if I did it all as a volunteer without any income to keep me alive.
But God had other ways, and fed me and took of me. He remained faithful in caring for my needs.
Slowly God started sending people to come alongside me, who help sustain the work of missions, and support me in what I do.
i join the Logos Hope ship, which travels all over the world to different countries, spreading the love of Christ and bringing hope to the needy. In January 2013 .
God chooses to love us not for what we have done or who we'll become, but what He sees in each unique individual. What Jesus has accomplished by laying down His life, so I can belong to God's heavenly family and receive His free gift of love, I now know that I am valued by Him and I can have the assurance that I am truly loved.
GOd wants us to cherish the person we are and not give ourselves away to the world or people or things, but belong to Him only! Not everyone might have the same purpose in life, but everyone has a purpose in life.
Being a missionary was never my idea or plan, but God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours, so I yield and submit to an Almighty Creator!I continue to live by faith and trusting God to provided for me, even when I'm involved with a lot of different ministries. I still have to trust God to take care of me everyday.
It's a journey to discover and walk, but we have to respond by choosing to walk with Jesus and keep the treasure of eternal life.
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts higher than your thoughts." - Isaiah 55:8-9
"Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? As it is written: 'For your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.' Yet, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor any other created thing, shall be able to seperate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:35
