My name is Tommy Trosper. I am in need of surgery that could drastically improve my quality of life.  I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI)**. My goal is to raise $15k for a jugular angioplasty of the internal jugular veins due to the restriction of blood flow due to the CCSVI**. The procedure entails the insertion of a balloon into the veins and then it is inflated to unclog my veins, which are now 70% blocked. Without this procedure, physical and mental issues will continue to deteriorate at a significant rate. This procedure is not performed in a lot of states, but there are some countries do, if you have both MS and CCSVI**.  This is because MS is a neurological disorder and only neurology doctors can work with MS patients, and CCSVI is performed by interventional radiologistss.  I live in Muncie Indiana, and the closest place that will do this procedure is in Dayton Ohio. This place has been inspected and approved by the FDA.

There is no way that I can come up with the money for this surgical procedure on my own because of the extenuating circumstances surrounding my life and income. I am currently on disability and that income barely meets my medical needs, let alone my day to day expenses. I am not asking for handouts in this area, as I will make due with what I have.

I was diagnosed with MS when I was 21 years old, in November of 2005. At first I just had some tingling in different places, then went blind in my left eye. A week after the blindness, my coordination, balance and overall strength reduced significantly. To make matters worse, I was then diagnosed with CCSVI** in August 9th 2010, the next day I underwent this same procedure to unblock my veins. Unfortunately, the blockage has returned and I am in need of another procedure.

I am in poor health. I spend most days in bed due to extreme pain and discomfort. I have bouts of forgetfulness and emotional distress from all of this. I have loss of feeling in my legs and feet which requires me to use a cane for mobility. I have a home health aid that comes in 5 days a week to help me with simple tasks I was once able to do, such as showers, cooking, cleaning, and reminders of my medication.

I am reaching out to you for help in raising the money for this life altering procedure because I have no choice left.  I am only 29 years old and though I know there are people that are a lot worse off than myself, I would still like to try to live a semi-productive life without the need of feeling like a burden to others. Any and all help would be GREATLY APPRECIATE

** I was tested and half-way treated at Memorial Hospital of South Bend Indiana by Dr. Gerard Duprat. When they tested me with doppler ultrasound, they saw reflux in both jugulars. The next morning I went in for the venogram. Once they were in they tested both sides with contrast and they found 80% stenosis in my left jugular and 70% in the right side. They treated the left side, but did not treat the right side. I did not know they didn't treat the right side until I got the reports from the procedures about 4 weeks later.
