Eight year old Martin Richard was killed in the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, 2013. He attended Neighborhood House Charter School in Dorcester, MA with his sister who was seriously injured and where his mother, also seriously injured, is the school librarian.

To help the children in the school and community understand their emotions, I am spearheading this campaign to send dozens of relevent books to the school. I did the same following the Sandy Hook tragedy, and sent eighty copies of The Tear Thief and Ruby's School Walk to the public library in Newtown, that were given to members of the community for free.

As an Ambassador for Barefoot Books (www.cherie-gustafson.barefootbooks.com) I will use the funds raised to purchase books at cost, and have them shipped directly to Neighborhood House Charter School. All funds raised will go toward books, and I will not accept financial gain from this tragedy.

Please help flood yet another community with a tool to help its children process such imaginable emotions.
