Ernie is a happy Corgi boy who was recently diagnosed with nasal carcinoma, a rare form of cancer in canines that only makes up 2.5% of all cases.
Ernie is a sweet Corgi boy who was recently diagnosed with nasal carcinoma. This form of cancer is rare in dogs, making up only 2.5% of all cases. Breeds with longer noses are at higher risk. This is Ernie's story in the words of Corgi Mom Susan:

"My Ernie just got diagnosed with nasal carcinoma. We took him to Iowa State University to explore our options. We decided on chemotherapy, as radiation is $5,000 and he would have to be away from home for one month. I couldnt do it. Every other week he will get a CBC test, and goes back to ISU in 6 weeks. The chemo meds he will get are palladia, cerenia, piroxicam and chemo each month. The total cost is $202 per month. The length of treatment is determined by his response."

Susan and I have decided to try to raise the funds for one year of treatment for Ernie. The total cost for one year is $2,425. If Ernie responds to his treatment before the one year is up, the remainder of the funds raised will be split between other Corgis in need through CorgiPals. Please donate and spread the word if you can. Let's get this boy back on his feet and feeling better soon!
