Dear Friends,

As we prepare to share the joy of Christmas with our friends and love ones through gifts, laughter, good food, and fellowship, I want you to kindly join me in giving the gift of education to the children of the Hope Mission School in Liberia.

By now, many of you may have heard about Liberia’s 14 years of civil war and its remarkable journey to recovery. Given the dire need for education in the country, the Hope Mission School was founded by Pastor Boniface Diggs to provide education to orphans and unprivileged children in the Bernard Farm Community in Paynesville, Liberia. During my visit to the school in January 2012, I couldn’t help but notice the crumbling classroom buildings and its shattered desks and windows. While the school has managed to continue its operation despite these challenges, it has had to temporarily suspend school activities due to adverse impacts of rain on its classroom buildings.

The school is set to reopen in January 2013 and the students of the Hope Mission School are looking forward to starting a new semester. However, without classrooms and desk, the students would have no means of getting the education they so much need and deserve.

I strongly believe you and I can make a difference in the lives of these students. Your donation of any amount would go a long way in helping the school renovate its classrooms buildings in preparation for a new semester.

Thank you in advance for your support and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
