On average, 22 Veterans commit suicide every day and as many as 59,000 Veterans are homeless on any given night, according to studies conducted by the Veterans Administration. Our intention is to reach Veterans early on so that they avoid being another statistic.

Lift Vets addresses a gap in services for returning Veterans. We are a first line of defense against Veteran homelessness and suicide. Using our early intervention model, we are able to deliver effective therapies and individual reintegration support to Veterans before their lives have spun out of control.

As an early-stage nonprofit, we are using community resources to deliver these services to Veterans. We are currently working with Community Partners, a nonprofit organization that, among other services, offers nonprofit corporate sponsorship so that donors will receive tax write-offs for contributions. At this stage, we can help up to 10 Veterans at a time; however, we intend to make a much greater impact. Our vision is to have a fully equipped gym facility in Los Angeles with classrooms for group therapy, offices for individual therapy, and a social space for Veterans to connect and cultivate healthy friendships. We intend to expand our skilled staff, requiring that each employee maintain the highest standards of compassion and professionalism. Our goal is to help thousands of Veterans in the Los Angeles area to successfully reintegrate. With this highly replicable system, we would then open Lift Vets Posts across the nation to be the premier reintegration program for returning Veterans.
