Hi everyone!
On April 27th, I will be participating in the marathon in Madrid, Spain. Part of my motivation for running the 26.2 miles is to raise money for Grassroot Soccer. I am asking for your support to help me reach my goal of raising $50/mile.

On April 27th, I will be running in the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in Madrid, Spain. Part of my motivation for running the 26.2 miles is to help raise money for Grassroot Soccer, an international organization whose goal is to stop the spread of HIV. They utilize the popularity of soccer to engage and educate the young people with whom they work. I am asking for your support to help me reach my goal of rasising $50 per mile, or $1,310.

Nelson Mandela once stated, “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope where once there was only despair." 

I began playing soccer when I was 7 years old and am still playing today, 17 years later. From a girl's team in Akron, Ohio to a women's Fußballverein (soccer club) in Dortmund, Germany, this sport has helped shape me into the woman I am today.
