Hi my name is Justice Tilley and I am almost 16years old, but when I was 2, I was diagnosed with ALL (Acute lymphoblastic leukemia). It lasted til I was 5 but then came back even worse and this time I needed a bone marrow transplant. Being that my brother wasn't a match, I had to go with a stranger that was a close match, and even though he was close, I still got something called Graph versus host disease and that almost killed me faster than the cancer did. Being a cancer kid we have to take a lot of meds, with a lot of side effects. I remember starting to become unhappy.

Now A.I. has a lot of people who care and do their best to try and help you no atter what the problem, and the nurses are caring and just great. I still am a patient and I'm still happy to see them every year, and I remember a woman named Wendy used to come to my room with all kins of activities trying to keep my spirits high, but seeing a teenage girl just about my age now, came to visit and talk to us. I knew right at that moment that when I was old enough, I wanted to do the same thing. Being a child that loses their hair (and being a girl, that really affects you.), gets covered in rashes, and swells up like a balloon gains a little bit of hope when they see someone who as been through the same things and now looks normal. Because all I wanted when I was little was to be normal.

My plan is to try and raise money to help get things for these cancer kids and put smiles on their faces. The money is for toys, coloring books, puzzles, crayons, and maybe some of the cool stuff the world is coming out with today. Some of these children arent allowed out of their unit and some not allowed out their rooms even. I thought maybe a magician would be fun, and the animal balloon guy my dad knows.

Now I don't plan on stopping at material things. One thing I know is the parents also have a difficult time with this. One of my parents had to quit their job just to take care of me and it caused some money issues at home. There were even times when we had to leave and stay with friends or family because money got so bad. I know my parents would do anything to make sure I was happy, even if we were broke, and thats because our parents love us so much that they would go hungry, thirsty, or broke, just to be able to make sure we are ok.

That's why I also wanna donate some of the money donated towards the parents that may need a little help with bills at home that may becoming backed up due to spending all their time with their sick child at the hospital, or like my own parent who had to quit working and learn from the hospital how to care for me. I knowI am only 16 but I am asking.....no I'm BEGGING you to help me help these children and their families have an easier time while they struggle through this hard time. I just wanna give the same hope that a teenage girl gave me when I was sick. Thank you all for taking the time to read this and thank you to whomever understands and supports what I'm trying to do. Hopefully this is just the begining and soon, with the help of my family, this attempt to make lives a little better will soon be a legitimite charity.
