On August 2, our good friend, Jason, went to the ER with chest pains. Come to find out he had a large mass that was laying across his lungs, heart, and bronchial tube. He was shortly diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Oh I forgot to mention, Jason is 24 years old, married to Kayelynn, who is 23, and has a daughter, Alix, who is 3. So, after 3 days in the hospital and Jason having more and more trouble breathing, the doctors decided they would try to remove the large mass (also forgot to mention, the mass was 10"x10"x4" thick). Can't even imagine! After several hours on the operating table and losing Jason twice, the doctors would have to call off the surgery after removing @ a softball size from the mass. It has now been over 4 weeks and Jason is still in the hospital and has undergone 2 chemo treatments. All the while, Kayelynn has continued to go to work, take care of their precious little girl, and drive from Blanchard to Norman (to work), from Norman to Blanchard to pick up Alix from daycare, drive to the city to the hospital, then to Blanchard again just to do it all again tomorrow. How she does it, I will never know! Let's help this sweet family! If you can donate anything that would be wonderful! I know they would appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
