Kindra is a beautiful mother of a 10 year old girl and married to the love of her life whom is also a combat veteran. She went in to Eglin Airforce base hospital last year and had her appendix removed. 2 days later, she was paralyzed from the neck down. She was admitted to ICU and put on life support. Was then diagnosed with Gilliam Barres Syndrome. She was given a treatment for the GBS which then gave her septic meningitis as a side effect. She was finally released home when she could walk with the help of a walker. I took my 10 year old Grand daughter home with me to Washington State (from Florida) so Kindra could recuperate. In the past 6 mos. Kindra has been back to the military hospital on a weekly basis with fevers exceeding 105, migraines, seizures. She has been re diagnosed three times, each time something different. Septicemia, pik line infection, meningitis...all VERY SERIOUS diagnoses. We want her to go to a hospital off the air force base to see an infectious disease Dr. The Army will not pay her medical coverage if she goes off base. ONLY if they refer her will they cover it. They will not refer her. We believe because they know they diagnosed and treated her wrong. Last week, I put my grand daughter back on a plane to Florida due to school starting. Her mother was in ICU again. Her Stepfather Danny, who is currently an Army Ranger, has been trying to care for Alyssa and Help his wife (Kindra) with her fevers, trips to hospital, shop, clean house, etc... while serving our country. We would like to raise enough to get her to a civilian hospital, a proper diagnosis and treatment as well as extra $$ to help Danny maintain the bills and the household with his single income!
