No child becomes an orphan by choice.

No child wants to be alone in the world. Whether they are old enough to understand their status, or still in their cribs eagerly waiting for some affection.

Could you imagine life without a safe and secure roof over your head? Put yourself in the position of the millions of orphans around the world and you can appreciate how important the work is that we carry out at Gowraar Foundation.

Orphans should have the best start in life to help them become useful members of society when they become adults. That’s why we’re constantly fundraising. Our mission is to set up a network of orphanages, particularly in new areas, as well as increasing capacity at existing ones. Once orphanages are established, we supply financial aid, equipment, staff training, educational materials, medicines, clothing and toys. But there are other factors that can deeply influence the life of an orphan. Like love, care and protection. That’s why we go to such lengths to provide more personal attention than is given at some orphanages. We want to create a close, family orientated environment by giving that extra bit of guidance to all the children in our care.

We teach them basic skills such as cooking, arts, crafts, raising crops and keeping livestock, because we want to encourage them to go forward to further education. So we make sure that our orphanages are established at places with easy access to colleges and universities.

By training them to become future doctors, lawyers teachers or civil servants, we can make sure that these once-forgotten children take their rightful places as valuable members of the community. We can only achieve this by running homes with a truly caring attitude. And we can only reach these goals with the help of your generous donations.
