Charlie Harris-Beard lost his battle with Leukemia on 8th February 2013 aged just 2 years old. One of the treatments Charlie received was umbilical cord blood (stem cells) donated from a new mum in America. This bought him a little more precious time with his family. Charlie inspired thousands of people throughout his journey.

Cords4Life Uk is a charity that has been set up by his family and is now Charlies legacy. The charity is working to raise awareness and availability of umbilical cord donation in UK hospitals. Cord blood can save lives!

There is an e-petition which needs 100,000 signatures for this subject to be debated in the house of commons - Please Sign! http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/45622

You can find lots of information on Charlies website - his journey, pictures, links and much more! www.charlieharrisbeard.com

You can also find lots of information on cord blood on the Anthony Nolan website - www.anthonynolan.org
