Without support, the children of Khuba Nursery School in Moshi, Tanzania, won't even make it to primary school. I have seen first hand how school can make such a big difference to these children's lives and give them a chance of a better future.

For them, school is a happy place. Their wonderful teacher Neema would ask them each morning "Are you happy?!!" to which a loud "YES!!" was always shouted in reply. Another thing which struck me was the enthusiasm to learn which exuded from every single child. Any question I asked, a sea of hands shot up in the air with cries of "Teacha! Teacha!" echoing around the room.

The sad fact is that despite the enthusiasm and potential of all these children, they unfortunately lack the resources and funding needed to fulfil it. Many children come from poor families while some are orphans. The meal they get at school is often the only food they will eat all day. The school itself is also drastically underfunded with the building in a poor state and many pupils going without basic essentials like pencils, workbooks and jotters.

Very little CAN make a huge difference though. The money I raise will be sent to Neema and it will allow her to buy these basic essentials and help to fund the children's education. In Tanzania, 100 pencils can be bought for under £3. £15 can pay for food which will feed the entire class of 40 children for a week. £35 can pay for a child's education for a whole year.

Please give whatever you can. It really will improve these children's lives.
