Within Sagtikos District, there are many communities with families that are struggling to provide a cost effective after school program and many kids in those areas struggling to find who they are and where they belong.
Scouting America wants to help those families, by giving them an affordable program that will provide their child values, fun, friendship, adventure, skills, a sense of belonging, a place to call home and a good foundation to make ethical and moral choices. Scouts always give back more than we get and that is built into our core values. It is who we are as an organization. We want to fill up food pantries, organize clean-up projects, help those in need, and teach boys and girls ages 5-17 years old what it means to be part of a community. We want to develop leaders for tomorrow.
With your donation, we will be able to provide financial assistance to those scouts that are struggling by offsetting membership fees, uniforms, scout books, and camp fees. With your donation, we can conduct more food drives, create recruitment supplies, make our camporees more open to the public, and help more people in our community.
With your support, we will be able to provide our program to more youth on Long Island.

Our programs encourages citizenship, builds confidence, teaches responsibility and resilience, and develops the leaders of tomorrow.
